Mother Frantically Reports 13-Year-Old Son Missing Not Knowing He Was Working Hard To Buy Her A Gift For Christmas

Sophia Reed moved her family into a new apartment in Oklahoma City but unfortunately, she had to spend all of her family’s Christmas money in order to make the move happen. As a result, she was unable to get gifts for her two children. Despite these hurdles, her kids still wanted to make sure she could get the gifts that she deserved.

Her 13-year-old son, Diauris, was missing one day because he went out to collect money to buy a gift for his mother.

But Sophia was completely unaware of his surprise and instead called the police to report him as missing.

During an interview with the local news station KFOR, she said: ‘what little Christmas money we had, you know, to pay my security deposit for here.’

It was just a week earlier when Diaurius decided to go out and collect cans in order to raise enough money to buy a gift for his mother.

In an interview, Sophia’s daughter and also Diaurius’ sister said: ‘I was afraid he was going to get in trouble, I was very afraid he was going to get in trouble. I just didn’t want to say anything because it would blow the whole thing.’

But it was too late, Sophia had already called the police so by the time Diaurius got home, he saw a whole bunch of police cars at his front door.
