In a recent segment of Dancing With The Stars, childhood star Frankie Muniz took some time to explain some rather startling news about his personal health. In a segment which aired after the dancing show, Muniz spoke to reporters from People to discuss his trips to the doctor.
“It’s something that I never really wanted to talk about because I’m just me and this is my life,” said Muniz, “But we were talking about Malcolm in the Middle and how it started, and I don’t really have memories of being on the show.”
Shockingly, doctors cannot seem to figure out what exactly is causing Frankie Muniz’s amnesia. Muniz commented, “Every time I go to the doctors they just tell me I’m crazy,” The culprit perhaps, may be attributed to Muniz having over 9 different concussions in his life, and suffering from 15 different mini-strokes, or what are called transient ischemic attacks.
A transient ischemic attack (TIA) or mini-stroke, is a neurological dysfunction as a result of the loss of blood flow to the brain, otherwise known as ischemia. Symptoms of a transient ischemic attack may resolve within 24 hours of the time of the attack. Unfortunately in Frankie Muniz’s case, perhaps the condition has resulted in small amounts of memory loss.
